What is phototherapy?

OraLightTMis a breakthrough treatment developed in Israel by a leading provider of photo- therapeutic medical devices utilizing proprietary low-level narrow band-light technology for the non-invasive, drug-free completely safe treatment of various medical disorders. The treatment is neither chemical nor pharmacological and has no side effects. It is based on the phototherapy principle (treatment with light energy), and uses a visible light source (Red light, 630nm) at a single band wavelength. OraLightTM uses sophisticated light emitting diodes, which precisely emit the required light energy. The desired effect of treating facial wounds, herpes simplex, aphthous ulcers and gingivitis, takes place at this wavelength. Up until now these diodes have been prohibitively expensive, and as a result phototherapy treatments have only been available at specialized centres. Now, with the development of OraLightTM , anyone can carry out this simple highly effective, 1-2 minutes long treatment, in the comfort of their own home and cure the problem in a matter of days.

You can find over 16,000 Scientific papers on phototherapy by typing 'Phototherapy' into the search box at the following URL location: Medline.

The proven success of the OraLightTM

oralight for all agesThe bio stimulation effect of low-level, narrow band light has attracted considerable interest since the pioneering work done in the early 1970's and has been proven in clinical studies. It has been shown that at least some of the desired biological effects can be achieved by exposure to 630nm low-level wavelength light-released factors, which stimulate fibroblast proliferation and mediators of wound repair and healing of inflammatory processes. The OraLightTM  is designed to serve as a personal device for treating sores on the face, lips and mouth, as well as cold sores

How to use the OraLightTM

Each treatment lasts for 1-2 minutes during which time a red light is emitted by a light source. The unit is switched on by turning the bottom cap clockwise. To begin with, treatment should be carried out 3 times per day. For extreme symptoms, treatment can be repeated more often without any side effects.

As soon as the symptoms have abated, the number of treatments can be reduced to twice per day. As the condition improves, treatments can be reduced to once per day. It is important to continue treatment for at least 1 to 2 weeks in order to maintain the results. It is best to perform the treatment in the morning before or after breakfast and repeat it again before bedtime. If you need 3 treatments a day, just take the OraLightTM with you.

The red light, which is emitted, is completely harmless, even when used over longer periods. There are no known side effects if you use the OraLightTM 3 times a day or less. During the period in which you use the OraLightTM, there is no interaction with other medications.

Avoid looking at the light source - when switched on.
